Main causes of food poisoning!
A Hazard is anything that can cause harm or disease, and food hazards are the causes of food poisoning. Most common symptoms of food poisoning may include but not limited to nausea, vomiting, stomach ache, fever, headache, loss of consciousness and sometimes death. Food hazards may also cause long term (chronic diseases such as liver disease, kidney disease or even cancer).
Germs (bacteria, virus, fungi or parasites) could easily find their way to your food and your stomach causing you sickness or even death, most common illnesses caused by food are Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Amebiasis & Ecoli killer bacteria.
Glass, wood, rocks, sharp objects or even pieces of metal could find their way to food due to poor storage or preparation habits, such hazards may cause inconvenience, internal injuries, internal bleeding, or even death, some may stay in human body for a long time.
Chemicals may not be as common as germs, but if they find their way to food they usually cause serious damage to health or even death, chemicals may find their way to food in form of pesticides due to bad pest control habits, or due to storing chemicals close to food items in the kitchen, or even lack of labeling that might lead to serious poisoning incidents (Oxalic acid in Milk tea incident).
